Top 5 Social Apps in Ghana on Android: Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, the top social apps on the Android platform in Ghana showcased notable trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps experienced varying degrees of growth and decline.

TikTok - Videos, Shop & LIVE saw a significant peak in weekly revenue, reaching about $5.4K by the end of February. Downloads fluctuated, hitting a high of approximately 58K in mid-January, while weekly active users remained relatively stable, peaking at 1.6M.

SOYO: Meet & Chat Party experienced a decline in weekly revenue towards the end of the quarter, dropping to around $484. Weekly downloads also decreased, starting at over 9K and ending at about 5.5K. Active users initially grew to 28K in early February but later decreased to approximately 22.6K.

Tango- Live Stream, Video Chat maintained a consistent revenue, with a peak of $561 in early March. Downloads were highest at the start of the quarter with nearly 10K, but later stabilized around 4K. Active users showed slight fluctuations, peaking at 28.3K in early February.

BuzzCast - Live Video Chat App saw a steady increase in revenue, reaching $579 by the end of March. Downloads were modest, peaking at just over 1K towards the end of the quarter. Active users gradually increased, reaching 2.8K.

Bigo Live - Live Streaming App demonstrated a steady rise in weekly revenue, peaking at $733 in mid-February. Downloads showed an upward trend in February, reaching over 3.3K, while active users increased to 30.7K by the end of February.
